In one box there are 28 candies and in another box there are 32 candies. How many candies must be moved from one box to another to have an equal number of candies?

We find out how many candies there must be in each box.

(28 + 32) ÷ 2 = 60 ÷ 2 =30

Each box must have 30 candies.

We make the difference between the box with the most candies and how many candies should remain in the box.

32 - 30 = 2

In order to have an equal number of candies in each box, 2 candies must be moved.
