Remember !

The probability of an event occurring is the number of favorable cases divided by the number of possible cases. If the probability is equal to 0 then the event is impossible. If the probability is equal to 1 then the event is certain.

Exemple !

In a urn balls of identical balls numbered from 1 to 10 a ball is extracted. Calculate the probability that the extracted ball is an prime number.

Number of favorable cases

{2, 4, 6}

p = 3 / 6

p = 0.5 = 50%
